I have had this palette for some time. I got it ever since it was just launched. I have not reviewed it because I wanted to know if I could use it as an eye shadow palette too. It took me many moons to test it and now I finally can work on the review properly. Please read on!
Dior Bronze Harmonie de Blush Nuancier Solaire (Sunshine Tones)
001 Rose Brazilia - Not sure if it's limited edition.
Product Description:
What it is:
A blush featuring complementary shades that contour and highlight.
What it does:
Dior Bronze Harmonie de Blush contains cannage-quilted palette of shades expertly coordinated for a perfect sweep of color every time. Brush them on together for an easy glow, or use the shades individually to contour and highlight. In two harmonies, each in a portable compact complete with brush. - Sephora
This is the other variation - Coral Riviera 002. I didn't get this because this collection is not available in Malaysia yet. I had to ask my makeup buddy in the US to do the shopping for me without trying it out first. If the center colour was a peach or coral, I'd get it too! I didn't think the dirty brown center colour would work for my skin tone judging from this Dior stock picture on the right.
I finally saw fuzkittie's picture of Coral Rivera 002 (posted on BoA "Eien" Inspired Look + Moto Jewelry.) It looks quite different (less muddy) from the stock picture. I think I might just need it!
Colour/Texture:

Unfortunately, the gorgeous golden dotted lines are only overspray. They came off on my first try. I decided to just wipe off all the golden shimmers before using the palette. When discounting the golden overspray, the entire palette is matte finish.

I couldn't make the mixed colour show properly so I will leave that for my cheeks instead! :)
I realised that I made a mistake on listing the items used in the pictures. It was Urban Decay Prime Potion Sin (UDPP Sin) not UDPP Original!
As I did quite a few experiments in this FOTD, I'll debrief it for you.
1. I used UDPP Sin on top of foundation and powder because the colours on the palette are all matte. I wanted to have a bit of shimmers. :)
2. I used all colours except the center peach on the eyes. All these colours are very small and so I had to use very small pointy eye shadow brushes for the job in case I accidentally mixed up the colours. It's a painstaking, time-consuming process! I used Maybelline Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner on top of the eye shadows (and winged out slightly) instead of tightlining as the colours of the palette aren't as deep and vivid as real eye shadows. I have never spent so much time on applying eye makeup!
3. I also used the brown on my brows. As you can see, the brown looks reddish against my black brows!!! It's way off! I removed it afterwards but I took these pictures before reapplying the brow makeup so you can see the mistake! If you have brows similar to that brown, it will be most handy. But apparently, that brown is not for me at all. Just what was I thinking???!!!
(Please don't mind my brows, I have a problem with shaping brows all the time. I dare not to trim them too thin so they are often unruly!)
4. I swirled the whole palette with this Laura Mercier Finishing Brush because it's loosely tapered so it would not pick up too much pigments since there are so many brown .
5. Lastly, (though not related to this palette) I used Shiseido The Makeup Smoothing Lip Pencil RS303 on my entire lips and finished with Make Up For Ever Fascinating Lip Gloss 1. The result was equally as good as using a lipstick with brilliant sparkles!
Laura Mercier Finishing Brush
I applied about 3 coats on my cheeks. It's all matte but I like it on my cheeks!
This shows how the colours work as eye shadows and how wrong that brown is for my brows!
So, the colours have decent pigmentation and work pretty well as a blush and eye shadows for me. But what about the texture? Well, it's soft and fine but slightly powdery. I really don't think anyone can dig up the colours separately without messing up the entire palette unless you use a tiny brush or cotton swabs. I tried both and some powder still flew onto adjacent colours. I'd suggest just swirling up the whole palette for convenience and a more natural result.
One more thing, this palette has a rather strong fragrance. It smells kind of like rose. I'd rather it's scentless. Oh, well... If you have a problem with scented blushes, this palette may not be the wright item for you as the scent does linger for some time.
Comparison:
These are my very old Dior Bronze Harmonie de Blush 001 Sunrise Party & 002 Sunset Fiesta. They were the pioneers of Dior Bronze Harmonie De Blushes.
I initially liked them because I got 4 colours from each palette and the colour stripes are big enough to be used individually. However, I soon realized that not all colours suited my skin tone. And when mixed together, they weren't exactly the most complimenting colours on my cheeks. These were limited edition in Malaysia but I believe they were not so in the States. They are still available on some e-tailers till today.
I know that Dior later released couple more Bronze Harmonie de Blushes of the same stripy design in the following years. There were at least 2 more palettes, if not mistaken. (Please correct me if I am wrong.) I didn't bother with those when they were released as my poor experiences with the first 2 palettes.
Dior Bronze Harmonie de Blush
001 Sunrise Party & 002 Sunset Fiesta, 2006
I prefer the new Dior Bronze Harmonie de Blush a lot more even thought it's not possible to utilize small parts by themselves as highlighters and shading colours. (Where on earth can you get a cheek brush that tiny for such purposes anyway?) The new Dior Bronze Harmonie de Blush is better for me because:
1. I can wear the mixed warm pink well;
2. I am not wasting specific colours as all of them will used as a whole.
With the older version, I'd single out certain colours on each palette and only use those but wasted the rest.
Packaging/Price:
This palette followed the same design and size of other Dior palettes (i.e. the 5-Colour Eye Shadow Palettes.) But instead of blue, it is now a bronze (to match its bronze theme I guess.) It also has a mirror and a brush. This time, I think the brush is quite useful because it's small!
It is 6.5 g./0.22 oz. and retailed for $42USD. I think it's reasonable for the quality product.
My Verdict:
This is a pretty blush for sure. It's definitely not the right palette as a highlighter or contouring unless you are super patient and skillful. Its individual colours can certainly be duped as eye shadows if you aren't too tanned. However, since this a blush and it doesn't state on the palette whether or not it's eye safe, Use it as eye shadows at your own risk! It's also scented so that's something to consider about. I personally like this palette and don't mind the scent. And I think it's an All-In-One palette on the go for a no-fail simple pink nude look.
Having said this, I am still interested in its sister palette... :)

I really like the Rose Brazilia on you.
Personally, I was a bit dissapointed by the two Nuancier Solaire editions, as no 1 is primarily suitable for a warm skin (and quite orangy) and no 2 is more suitable for a cool skintone... I am more of a neutral so both were not uberflattering. I do like the layout of the blushes...
thanks so much for the review, i've been dying to read one on rose brazilia. i'm sad that it is very underwhelming, for this price it just seems like something that's nice to have. i still can't stop thinking about it though. i'll just have to patiently wait until I have a chance to buy obth.
the dior blush in 002 is used in fuzkittie's boa's inspired look. =]

Hi Jojoba :)
Great review, such a beautiful palette with the gold shimmer. Pity it was only for show :)
birkinbagbeauty: i didn't think my 001 rose is orangy but more pink... weird. but 002... now you got me curious!
lyn: it's always best to check things out in person. i used to be like that but there are so many things i like from the states or (faster in the states) so i asked my friend to get them for me BLINDLY. a risky business...
Anonymous: Thank you so much! All the while I thought she had 001 like me! And I was writing up my review before I read hers! LOL. Now I think I want that as she looks sooooo gorgeous with that on but she looks great with anything and everything on!
Mukho: I was wondering what might be like if the gold shimmers are all the way to the pan... would be just added shimmers as the first trial seemed so. I actually prefer the shimmers GONE!
I love that you did so much experimenting with it! It's a very pretty blush but it looks fantastic on your eyes.
And lol @ your brows. Browns just don't work on us - it reminds me of when I got a makeover at the Ulta Beauty Event and the MA put a reddish brown shadow all over my brows. I was like "... ahaha..." Then I rushed home to take it off.
Thank you for the review. I have the same problem with eyebrow browns too. I think is because we have an olive undertone.
The colors that work on me ( vary by brands) are neutral-cool gray browns applied very lightly. Even though I know this, some brands sell grays that are rather warm (so called grays but not at all really!) and turn red on my olive face.
Hi Jojoba - I got the Coral Riviera 002 for myself. Thanks for your idea about using it on the eyes - I have to see how the colours would work out with the 002.
I passed on both blushes, because I thought they they were a bit too intense for me. But they look good on you!
Instead, I got a Dior Bronze LE palette at Duty Free, and I´m very happy with it!
I had the second blush in 02, but I sold it because it was quite orangy on me.
I almost get this when they 1st launched but I stopped myself from buying because I want to have PUPA baked blusher. Now come to think about it, I'm glad that I didn't buy it..
Looks great on you! I still have mine sitting in its box,i'll get it out this week and play with it. I'll take a pic first, it looks so beautiful with the tiny layer of gold on it,that's the reason i still didn't use it ;)
