These were just launched in Malaysia in conjunction with Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush In Love and Tea Rose. These Tweed Blush Duos are replacing the discontinuing Irreelle Blushes. (Yup, you heard me right.)
Before setting out to write this review, I have read most of the current reviews on these blush duos and I am one of the few who think this is yet another con job from a giant cosmetic company. Please read on to learn more about them.

Propduct Description:
"Mademoiselle’s legendary tweed now comes in a refined blush for lovely sheer makeup.
This duo of shades, sprinkled with golden or silver pearly pigments, is delicately woven to reveal the softness of the powder. Its soft and airy long-wear texture ensures easy application. Slightly sheer, satiny and ultra-soft, LES TISSAGES de CHANEL lightly drapes the face in radiance and helps sculpt it by creating a subtle interplay of shadow and light." - *Found this on the net but I think the source is from Chanel. As Chanel has not uploaded this product on any of its sites, i can't confirm the original source.
Colour/Texture:
There are 4 tempting delicious shades in pink, coral, rose and amber. I love how Chanel is able to capture 4 shades that could possibly work well for all skin tones. #20 tweed Coral is most complimenting for my skin tone. Here are the swatches:

Aren't they beautiful? They are lightly coloured because of the tweed surface that interweaves the light colour (highlight) and the dark colour (blush). The highlight tones down the blush so these blush duos applied sheer on. However, they are easily built up for stronger pigmentation as you can see in my picture which I think I applied 3 coats. They were all photographed well. One thing to note is that they can't be used as highlighters alone as the highlighter/blush colours come in very small bits entwined together. These are really just straight-up blushes of 4 different shades. Personally, I think they shouldn't have been named as blush duo because that's quite misleading. Just imagine Irreelle Blushes with marbled effect. That's all!
Unfortunately, there are loose and not so refined shimmers on the surface. I said they are coarse as they are visible particles that you can actually separate apart from the colours. If you are familiar with Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blushes, you'd know how the shimmers are part of the blush colours. You can't pick them out from the colours and that's part of the reasons why those Joues Contraste are so irresistible! I have a personal pet peeve of makeup palettes that have separate colours/shimmers on the surface only. I adore how the silver/gold shimmers work so well with the colours beneath. Imagine when the shimmers are finished? And that's not going to be too long, either. When I was testing them in the Chanel Boutique, the tester #30 Tweed Rose had lost most of its shimmers (thus you don't really see any in my picture!) That was just on the second day of the launch! I realized the MATTE colours (highlight/blush) underneath not as appealing as when the shimmers were still available! By the way, the tweed surface feels rather harsh on my fingers too. Thumb down on its texture.
#20 Tweed Corail
(This is my favourite colour among the 4.)
Compared to Joues Contraste Powder Blush 55 In Love
Swatches
Packaging/Price:
They weigh 5.5 g. / 0.19 oz. each. Slightly more than Joues Contraste (4 g. / 0.14 oz.). However, they are housed in the exact same compacts (design/size) as Joues Contraste. They have better brushes compared to Joues Contraste as the brushes are bigger, both the handle and the bristles. The bristles are soft to the touch too. I think the brushes are actually workable.

This is a picture I found on eBay as Chanel hasn't updated any of its sites with this new product. This following picture belongs to eBay seller bongolian.

The price is 152MYR / 43.4965 USD. It is not expensive for Chanel standard, to be honest. But I think they aren't worth it because of what they offer.
My Verdict:
I would have bought that #20 Tweed Coral and perhaps #30 Tweed Rose, IF the shimmers are finer and not only on the surface. I think the colours are great but I have a major problem with the texture. Judging from my past experience with Chanel Irreellle Blushes and those quilted palettes, the uneven texture will be my regrets if I got them. It's a shame that these palettes have such drawbacks as I think they are great creations. I passed but apparently many reviewers didn't. So your best bet if to test them in person before jumping the queues. Don't be deterred because I said they don't deserve my 152MYR as you may just like them. I think I am writing this review with too much of "personal issue".
The good news is these are not limited edition (according to the sales assistance & I hope she was right about that information) so I still have time to think it over to decide if they are for me in the long run. But for the time being, they won't get my $$$!
Please let me know if you happen to love these and why. Thanks!
My Colouring:
MUFE Full Cover Extreme Camouflage Cream #4, Duo Mat Powder Foundation #202, Liquid Lift Foundation #2, light skinned Asian (Chinese), dark brown eyes, long black hair (mostly straight with some wavy bits), slightly dry facial skin that hardly breaks out, medium pigmented lips that are chapped easily.

I'm loving Tweed Coral & Tweed Amber, they're the two that would probably suit my colourling.
Thank you sooo much for this review!! This blush was in my wish list, but not any more... :)
beauty parler: Are you going to check them out and see if they are suitable for you? I hope you do as I'd like to hear more about these. There aren't that many reviews yet.
andrea: I hope you do give them a try if they are released in your area. It's best to try them in person than just listening to me. :P
Jojoba, I cant find chanel here (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) :( I normally use reviews in internet, especially yours, to choose colors and products and buy online rs :)
andrea: Oh yes, I remember you mentioned that before. silly me. that's really strange that Chanel is not sold there. Oh well, in this case, you really have to take my words for it! :P At least you don't have to spend the bucks now. :)
Hey, Jojoba. I'm glad you did a review on this one. This just proves people have different thoughts.
I'm an Asian, so mayb our skin tone is similar somehow. I don't think this will work for me as my skin is sensitive, but I will try it out when I go window shopping to see if they have it. XD
btw, how do you know about your skin tone as in NC or NW? thanks!
sandy: you have to go to MAc to have you skin tone tested. I happen to know mine because I tried MAC concealer stick many years ago (which didn't work). I am NC (means = need cool) as I am warm. I guess you will be NC something too as you are Asian but some Asian has pink under tone so those will be cool skin toned and NEED WARM = NW. very confusing!!!
